When philosophy began to awake from its long slumber, and before theology completely dominated it, the practice seems to have been for each professor to seize upon any philosophical position he found unoccupied and which seemed a strong one, to intrench himself in it, and to sally forth from time to time to give battle to the others. ~C.S. Peirce (How to Make Our Ideas Clear)

I'm assuming Jean Luc is your car?
Yup. :^D
I talk to my car a lot. Usually pleading and bribing. I haven't gone quite so far as to give it a name though.
*looks puzzled* How can you talk to your car if it doesn't have a name? That's silly! ;^)
I'm thinking of naming it "Vera."
That is a vera nice name for a car.
